Dancers in the church 2 Item Info

Title:
Dancers in the church 2
Description:
Members of an interpretive dance ensemble offer a choreographed meditation during the Easter Eucharist as clergy look on from the sanctuary. Their expressive gestures transformed the church into a space where liturgy and the performing arts converged, inviting worshipers to experience the Easter proclamation through movement as well as word and sacrament. The ensemble was invited through the artistic connections of John Darcy Noble, whose interests helped broaden the church's liturgical life. The performance takes place at 348 West 14th Street.
